Dilworth Cares is the charitable arm of the Dilworth Community Association, currently functioning as steering committee of 13 members.  Our mission and vision are:

MISSION:  Dilworth Cares exists to facilitate opportunities for each of us, as part of the community, to show our concern for others.

VISION:  Dilworth Cares is committed to promoting opportunities for our neighbors to serve those in need, both financially and through volunteer activities. In addition to publicizing local service opportunities in our neighborhood, we also select a focus agency in our community that becomes the beneficiary of all our fundraising efforts during a specified time period.

Look for updates on volunteer opportunities or fundraising events in the Dilworth Express and the Dilworth Quarterly. You may also contact a member of the Dilworth Cares steering committee by using the links below. Meetings of the Dilworth Cares steering committee are usually held the first Wednesday of the month at varying times and locations.

Focus Charities:

2016-2018:  Dilworth Soup Kitchen provides warm nutritious meals each Monday to anyone in need. DSK has been in operation since late 2008, in space provided by the First Christian Church on East Blvd. Volunteer cooks and waiters serve meals made from food donated by the many wonderful groceries and restaurants around town.
